Services, Rates & Insurance

As psychotherapists serving Torrance/South Bay and Encino/San Fernando Valley and surrounding communities, we provide the following services:

 

TELEHEALTH AND IN-PERSON THERAPY SESSIONS

(Mask and other COVID/Infectious Diseases safety protocols may be required)

  • Individual, couple, and family therapy and counseling for children (over 10 years of age), adolescents, adults, and older adults 
  • Work temporary disability evaluation (Not SDI Disability)
  • Premarital counseling
  • Partner/Marital counseling
  • Divorce counseling (including parenting issues)
  • Peace Officer Standards and Training (POST) Employment Appeals
  • Quality Medical Evaluations (QME)

 

Psychotherapy Services are provided in English and Spanish (in our Torrance location only)

RATES & INSURANCE:

Fee-For-Service (aka: Cash Pay)
Fees are subject to change and will be discussed prior to your first visit. Fee-For-Service patients who are not using their insurance, nor submitting claims to their insurance will be provided a Good Faith Estimate for the cost of services, prior to the first appointment.

Reduced Fee-For-Service (aka: Sliding Scale): A reduced fee may be available on a limited basis and for a limited time to those who qualify. To find out if you qualify, please contact our office at (310_ 855-3990 extension 0. You may qualify for a reduced fee if you are attending college or university; are a graduate student in an MFT, MSW, LPC or Clinical Psychology program.

We are providers through the following Government Programs (services provided in our Torrance office):
MEDICARE and TRICARE

California Victims of Crime Program (aka: CalVCB, CA VOC): We accept this program.  The amount covered and any out-of-pocket expenses are determined by the rules of the program.  Please call for details and have your Cal/VCB application number handy.

  • Many people are unaware that they may qualify for free psychotherapy and clinical counseling if they, or a loved one, was a victim of or witness to a qualifying crime.  This is a service of the State of California’s Victim Compensation Program.  
  • Do you think that you may qualify?  To get answers to your questions you may search the official website at:  http://www.vcgcb.ca.gov/victims/  or by calling toll-free (800) 777-9229.
  • If you find that you are eligible, Cal/VCB is a payer of last resort so please have any other underlying insurance plan information available when you call our office.  If our group is out of network with your current plan, our office will obtain a denial of services in order to bill Cal/VCB.

 

In-network Health Plans

CIGNA (aka: Evernorth), MHN Healthnet, Medicare & Medicare Advantage Plans (ex: L.A. Care Medicare Plus, Healthnet Medicare, AETNA Medicare), Blue Shield Promise Health, AETNA, Optum, TRICARE, and Carelon LA Care Medi-Cal (no other Carelon LA Care plans are accepted). *These plans are subject to change at any time, and we are not guaranteed to be on your individual contract, even if we appear as a network provider. For Kaiser plan members, while we are currently out-of-network.

 

PPO Insurance Out-of-Network healthcare services provider

We are able to accept most PPO Insurance programs as out-of-network providers. Therefore, services may be covered in full or in part by your health insurance. Please contact us so that we may determine if this is a viable option for you. *Please note that we do not accept EPO plans from any carrier, even carriers listed above as In-Network, as EPO's are a separate network within the insurance company.

 

Good Faith Estimates for Cash Pay Patients

Under the law, health care providers need to give patients who don’t have insurance or who are not using insurance an estimate of the bill for medical items and services.

• You have the right to receive a Good Faith Estimate for the total expected cost of any non-emergency services.

• You can also ask your health care provider, and any other provider you choose, for a Good Faith Estimate before you schedule an item or service.

• If you receive a bill that is at least $400 more than your Good Faith Estimate, you can dispute the bill.

• Make sure to save a copy or picture of your Good Faith Estimate.

Payment is required at the time of service. We accept Cash and most major credit cards. Health Savings Account debit/credit cards may also be used, if they have a Visa or Mastercard logo. *We do not accept Digital Credit Cards, Checks, or ATM cards without a Vise/Mastercard logo.
